Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb
On the banks of the Yamuna River sits another of Agra’s perfect designs: Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb. The tomb contains the remaining parts of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, a Persian authority who served the Mughal realm, just as his better half.
Rumors have spread far and wide suggesting that this gems box-like burial place was really the motivation for the Taj Mahal, procuring it the moniker “Child Taj.” The red sandstone and marble structure highlights 13-meter-high hexagonal pinnacles on each corner.
The most vital thing about this fascination, however, is that it was the principal construction to utilize pietra dura, the famous Indian trim method that utilizes semiprecious stones to make embellishing botanical plans in marble. You’ll see stunning mathematical examples, portrayals of containers and cups, and sensitive rose flower bundles from floor to roof of the agile construction—suggestive of those on the Taj Mahal.
In spite of its excellence, Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb gets far less guests than different attractions around Agra, making it an optimal spot to see the value in the beautiful highlights without the groups.
